WHY PEOPLE CALL US

YOU'RE PROBABLY HERE FOR ONE OF THESE.

Most homeowners who call us are dealing with something specific. See if yours is on the list.

  • An inspection or an appraisal flagged the wiring, and now you have a deadline.
  • Your panel is a brand somebody told you is a problem, and your insurer agrees.
  • You are renovating, the walls are open, and someone said now is the time to rewire.
  • Breakers trip when you run more than one thing, and you have been living around it.
  • You are adding an EV charger, a generator or a heat pump, and nobody can tell you whether the service can carry it.
  • You bought an older house and you would like to know what is actually behind the walls.

If none of these is quite it, tell us in your own words. That works too.

WHO YOU'D BE HIRING

WE ARE NOT A HOME SERVICE COMPANY.

No membership plans. No dispatch fees. No flat-rate book. We are a commercial electrical contractor that takes selected residential work, which means your house gets the crew, the licensing and the process that a distribution center gets.

  • Code violation correctionOpen violations cleared, failed inspections remediated, pre-sale electrical work documented.

HOW A PROJECT GOES

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS.

From the first visit to the inspector signing off, here is what you can expect and roughly when.

  1. STEP 01

    We come out and look.

We open the panel, look at what is actually there, and tell you what we find. No charge for the visit. [CONFIRM FREE]

  2. STEP 02

    You get it in writing.

A fixed scope with what is included and what is not. If we think you need less than you were quoted elsewhere, we say so.

  3. STEP 03

We pull the permit and give you dates.

You will know which rooms are affected and for how long before we start.

  4. STEP 04

    We do the work.

Crews on site the days we said. Power off only when it has to be. We clean up at the end of every day.

  5. STEP 05

    Inspection and handover.

We meet the inspector. You get a labeled panel and the paperwork for your file.

START WITH STEP ONE

A whole-home rewire on an average house runs [DURATION TBS]. A service upgrade is usually [DURATION TBS].

BEFORE YOU SPEND

YOU MAY NOT NEED THE SERVICE UPGRADE YOU WERE QUOTED.

Most homes around here run a 100 or 200 amp service. When a homeowner adds an EV charger, a heat pump and an induction range, the reflex quote is a 400 amp upgrade, which means a new service, a new panel and often a trench across the yard. Load management hardware can let a 200 amp service carry all three by prioritizing loads in real time. It is not right for every house. It is right for more houses than get offered it.

  • We run the load calculation before we quote a service upgrade, not after.
  • If the cheaper answer works, that is the answer you get.
  • If it does not, we will show you the math.

AFTER

Original fused service beside its replacement.

AURORA · 1948 BUNGALOW

Whole-Home Rewire

WHAT WE FOUND

Cloth-wrapped wiring, ungrounded circuits throughout, and a 60-amp fused service.

WHAT WE DID

Full rewire, new 200A service, labeled panel, passed inspection on the first visit.

Crowded 150-amp panel at capacity

BEFORE

Upgraded panel with load management and EV circuit

AFTER

Panel before and after the upgrade.

NAPERVILLE · 1990s TWO-STORY

Service Upgrade and EV Charging

WHAT WE FOUND

A 150A service already near capacity, with a charger and a heat pump planned.

WHAT WE DID

The load calculation showed 200A plus load management was enough. No trench, no new service.

Standby generator and automatic transfer switch beside a house

Generator and transfer switch after commissioning.

OSWEGO · SPLIT-LEVEL

Standby Generator

WHAT WE FOUND

No backup power and a sump pump on a circuit that had already failed once.

WHAT WE DID

Whole-home standby generator, automatic transfer switch, and the circuits that matter on their own feeds.

Addresses withheld. Photos published with the homeowner's permission.

BEFORE YOU CALL

WHAT WE DO NOT DO.

We would rather tell you now than waste your afternoon.

  • Single-outlet and single-fixture service calls

  • Appliance repair and same-day repair dispatch

  • Anything we cannot permit and inspect

If that is what you need, a residential service company will get to you faster than we will, and we will tell you so on the phone rather than sending someone out. We take a limited number of residential projects a year and we would rather do a few of them properly than all of them badly.

START HERE

SEND US A PHOTO OF YOUR PANEL.

Open the panel door, take a picture, and send it. We can tell you a great deal from that one photo, usually the same day. [CONFIRM TURNAROUND]

You do not need to know what is wrong, and you do not need to be ready to book anything. One photo is enough for us to tell you roughly what you are looking at.

No obligation, and no one will call you seven times.
